He invite one friend from 7 is in 1 way.If he invite 2 friends from 7 he can choose 2! and like that he can invite one or more friends in 7! ways.

this question is permutations and combinations unit we invite 7 friends in 7 ways then the number of ways to invite 7 friends is 7!

the numer of ways of inviting 1 friend is same as the number of ways of choosing 1 friend from 7 friends thus the number if total ways of inviting one or more friends are 7c1 + 7c2+ 7c3 + 7c4 +....+7c7 .
